Pollution, particularly the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, is a major contributor to global warming. These gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to rising temperatures and a host of negative consequences such as melting ice caps, rising sea levels, and more frequent and severe weather events. Human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes are the primary sources of greenhouse gas emissions, and reducing them is critical to mitigating the impact of global warming.
Traditional methods of reducing greenhouse gases such as Dioxide (NO2) and Sulfur oxides (SOx) by spraying water on these toxic gases in industrial chimneys, have proven to be largely ineffective. The current process of bubbled NOx/Sox gasses through large water baths not only costs companies large fines and carbon credits but also presents a costly challenge in disposing of the contaminated water.
To address this issue, we have developed a novel solution for the elimination of toxic gas emissions through an intellectual property venture. Our process involves fogging fine particles of our solution into a scrubbing tower onto the toxic gases resulting in condensation, which can be harvested as liquid acid. Preliminary research using Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Sulfur oxides (SOx) show the immediate disappearance of the toxic gas, which through condensation results in a highly potent acid, either nitric acid or sulphuric acid.
Our solution provides several advantages, including the elimination of gases by means of converting them to a recyclable liquid form, emitting oxygen instead of residual toxic gases, and the ability to be built into existing infrastructure. Businesses benefit from reduced treatment costs, a reduction in contamination fines, and an increased carbon credit rating, which can lead to higher share prices.
